Baptist Town, in Greenwood, Mississippi, is a neighborhood rich with history but suffering from the effects of drug abuse, youth gangs, unemployment, and a general lack of community focus. The recent renewal of other areas of Greenwood has escaped this neighborhood thus far. But a group of local citizens, supported by friends from other parts of the state, is helping to renew the spirit of the area by rebuilding homes and creating a presence of hope.
